ROSS EASYSLIDE

Manual for Ross Easyslide

item nr. 1030

The proper use of an accessory calls for good and detailed information. At RoMedic we employ various means of spreading information about our products, including videos, printed material, personal visits and training courses. The aim of these instructions is to provide the user of our accessories with even better information. It is important for you to read them before starting to use the accessory.

Applications

Ross Easyslide has two main purposes:

bullet

Transfers between a bed and X-ray/operating table, shower trolley etc.

bullet

Turning in bed

Positioning

NB All wheels on beds, shower trolleys etc. should be locked to prevent the two surfaces from sliding apart while using the Ross Easyslide. Turn the patient onto one side and insert the sliding mat underneath so that s/he is lying half on it. Before commencing the transfer, tilt the patient slightly so that the full weight of the body is pressing against the mat. It is helpful if you can place the Ross Easyslide under a sheet or a draw sheet, enabling a firm grip and gentle handling.

Advantages

Ross Easyslide is large enough to provide coverage from head to toe. The new and unique ULF (Ultra Low Friction) material on the inside of the sliding mat makes it easy to move even a heavy patient on a damp or rough surface.

Techniques

The techniques shown by us here are only examples of the uses to which the various accessories can be put. To select the  technique most suited to your situation and patient, it is essential for you to contact your physiotherapists and instructors in mobility skills.
